Queen of the Jungle

Towns has been Queen of the Jungle this week at school which is probably the equivalent to winning the lottery or holding a golden ticket to Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory. It means that you get to be the leader of the class for the entire week.
That's big time, folks. Let me just tell you.
It means that you get to sit in the golden chair, and wear the golden crown...

It also means that you get to tell the class all about you...

I love that she says she's special because her Mommy loves her...and that she wants to be a cowgirl when she grows up!
And it means that when Mrs. Lindsay sends the Queen/King of the Jungle bag home with you, you get to fill it up with your most prized possessions...

All of which Mrs. Lindsay puts on the bulletin board that's all about you...

She took her Bible, Dazzle the pink dog, the pumpkin she painted, her Pinkalicious book, her Mickey Mouse ears, and the necklace Miss Elle gave her for her birthday. She had to take pictures that told a little about her, too. We went semi overboard on that part. We had pictures from Disney, pics of the family, her at the park, baking, painting, cheering at Monsters, playing in the sand on the beach, getting her ears pierced, and playing with Play Doh. I'm probably forgetting a few...
We've been waiting for this opportunity for a while now. And since they drew for the line up and Towns got the very last turn, it's been even that much more exciting that it's finally her time!
This is her on Monday morning as we were about to leave for school...

Does that face scream excitement, or what?!
Wednesday morning was a rough one at our house. Long story short, B would have been late for school so I let her go with me to drop the girls off (and maybe do a few little extras - shhh!) and then checked her in. She's never been to Towns' classroom so it was the perfect opportunity!
Three little lovies...

Towns got settled in her class while I took a hundred pictures of her bulletin board, her sitting in the golden chair, etc. and then I couldn't help but take one more...

She's trying to concentrate so hard on her morning work and would be successful if I'd get out of her face with my camera! Ha!
I took the hint by the look on her face and headed out the door so we could drop Cate off. She just couldn't get enough of her Bebby and didn't want her to leave...

Love it!!
Since Towns has been Queen of the Jungle, naturally she's been able to pick out her outfits for school. It goes with the territory. This was today's outfit...

Sweet Coach Quarles got word that we loved the Start 'Em Young, Raise 'Em Right football shirts but missed out on ordering them. He showed up at church last night with two of them just for the girls. Should I tell you that Towns slept in hers and wore it to school too?!

She was wearing Decatur gear and must have been feeling the team spirit. It was cheer central on the front porch when we got home from school. Which turned into a concert on the front walk...

Never a dull moment!
But that's how you do it when you're Queen of the Jungle...
